If none of that works, if the bullets are too thick, your ears too filled with sound, your nose too thick with blood, and if they've already gotten to your calf, then there's something else you can do. You hide in the herd. You wait. And you never forget.
really fun fast paced novel with some really impactful imagery! i liked the structure and the last 50 pages had me reading so fast to find out what would happen next. i dont read horror a lot but i really enjoyed this

I'm really surprised I couldn't make it through this book. After reading reviews and recommendations this sounded just like the sort of thing I would enjoy. However, I just found this so incredibly boring. At over 130 pages in, I didn't care about any of the characters, didn't feel any atmosphere whatsoever. I guess this just wasn't for me. I feel like I gave it a good go but life is too short.

Ooh, I didn't expect to enjoy this story as much as I did. The storytelling between all the characters and how it ties in at the end, I really enjoyed. Also, don't mess with elk.

The range of the characters is so good. Nobody is a good guy but nobody is a bad guy either. Lewis and his storyline wrecked me. The mental instability of that character shook me. The news article sent me. The best touch of the book. The overall story was really awesome. Nearing the end I was on edge because anything could happen.
