It was honestly disturbing how these current issues were discussed 10+ years ago and are still not resolved due to the selfishness of individuals in power.

While it was really informative, I went in thinking it would be kinda beginner level information

This set of Chomsky's speeches or articles is great read. Take time and consider perspective you normally you get to look at things. This is truly great intellectual of our times who is not afraid to to ask difficult questions and answer clearly stating who's to blame or where we need more attention. Read Chomsky, not always you will agree but his books are intellectual challenge, especially in times where we start to forget that morality should be at our hearts not groups of interests.

an amazing book detailing the history of american-israeli relations, zionism, palestinian rights, ethnic cleansing, war crimes, gaza, hamas, american/israeli relations with the rest of the middle east, nuclear threat and power politics. i highly recommend this, although it is a book by naom chomsky, who is in my opinion an outstanding guy, but his writing skills are not quite my favourite, he is incredibly intense and packs large amount of information into sentence after sentence.

amazing to use for studying.

because we say so is a collection of chomsky's essays and interviews on a variety of subjects, including the military industrial complex, neoimperialism, war on the middle east, the arab spring, palestine and its dehumanization. above all, it's a frank, sardonic and satisfying indictment of american hypocrisy which has - and continues to - wreak havoc in many parts of the world. although im not rly a fan of the audiobook's narrator, this is a book thats relevant more than ever.

From changing our Cuba policy to be in alignment with both our neighbors and with Europe, who are not embargoing or punishing Cuba for exercising their right to be human beings , to adopting a Humane drug policy by treating drug addiction as a health care issue, which it clearly is, Chomsky again points out all of the United States policy that desperately needs changing.
