Okay so maybe this is my favourite Adrienne Young book so far?

I often complain about loving her story ideas but then not liking the story pace. I often feel like all the fun stuff is at the end and that end feeling rushed.

But this one, I really enjoyed throughout the entire story. This might also be because I read it very chopped up as I didn't have a lot of time to just sit and binge-read.
One way or the other, my favourite read by Young so far!

This was so fun. The time travel aspect was a little clunky and I would have liked more insight BUT by the end I think I had finally grasped it. A page turner mystery with a little bit of romance plus sci fi? Sign me up. I didn’t love Spells for Forgetting that much so I was wary, but it was a great time.

This was an amazing and beautiful atmospheric magical realism book that I enjoyed quite a bit. I felt like the author did such an amazing job of setting the scene, and creating this idea that the Farrow women had this ability to go back and forth through time should they feel the need to, but only three total times. I did get a bit in the weeds with the time travel aspect, but it was fully explained by the end of the book and I have to say that twists and turns were unexpected but so welcomed. I appreciated how the characters were so fully developed, and I loved the ending of the book so much. This was my first read by Adrienne Young, but it will certainly not be my last. I found the development of the scenery so complete, I was instantly transported to the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina. I definitely recommend this book to those who enjoy a character driven story with a slight magical realism element.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the advanced copy of this book. All opinions within this review are my own.
