I really enjoyed this story. It took me a while to get in to but soon realised it was the third book in the series, so had I read the first two I would've understood the short introduction and recognised the characters immediately.

This series has completely slayed me.

Whenever I close the Lindsey Kelk books I've read, I want to flip to the beginning and start all over again to relive all the Lindsey Kelk magic meaning laugh and clutch my heart as well as have tears stream down my face.

Also, Nick Bloody Miller <3

Lindsey Kelk strikes again in the third book of her A Girl series. A Girl's Best Friend is as hysterical as the first two and I devoured it. This world and these friendships that Lindsey has created are so additive and guaranteed to keep you entertained from the first page to the last. The third book follows Tess's life back in London and New York following her adventures in Milan and Hawaii and needless to say, she manages to get herself into as much shit as in the last two books.

Tess and Amy are easily some of my most favourite characters. I love their personalities, their attitudes and their friendship is a thing of beauty. Settling down with these two ladies gives me such a content and cosy feeling. It's like meeting up with two old friends and hearing about what they've been up to this time. As well as their friendships, their love lives are so hysterical and I don't understand how Tess manages to get herself into such bizarre situations. I have always been Team Nick so I was really looking forward to seeing where things were going to go in this book. Things were less than ideal at the end of the last!

A Girl's Best Friend was another unputdownable read by Lindsey Kelk. I laughed, I gasped and I cringed the whole way through and I loved every minute of it. Christmas time will be a time where I finally curl up with the I Heart series - Lindsey's writing is so light and honest and I can't wait to lose myself with more of er characters. They are so honest and so familiar that it's impossible not to relate with them. I hope there's another to come in the A Girl series because I can't get enough of Tess Brookes!

As always, Kelk delivers a warming, lighthearted novel full of Christmas cheer! I enjoyed reading this because it's based around a girl called Tess trying to make it as a photographer - one of my favourite hobbies ever!!

The other characters: Amy, Charlie, Kekipi, Al, etc. are just as loveable and there's also a bit of romance in there...

This is probably the worst review I've ever written, but take my word that it's really good! :)

Amazing book. Loved the plot lines, the inclusion of some I Heart favourites and the way the stories tied up... but I really don't want it to end! Seriously hoping there'll be at least one more book but, unfortunately, it seems unlikely.

As seems to be the standard in this series, we start this book with another opening chapter which is a flash forward to the future.

It becomes clear pretty quickly that we're at a wedding. But what is not quite so clear is *who* is getting married. To start with, I was leaning towards Tess. But then Charlie arrives. And then Nick arrives. What is happening?!

Then we flash back a few weeks, and we find out that the wedding is Kekipi and we breathe a sigh of relief. Having to read the whole book to find out who Tess was going to marry would be too much stress!

Since her last trip to Milan and her first gig as a paid photographer, Tess has not quite been living the life she thought she would. She's now an assistant to a photographer called Ess, who is not exactly the nicest person to work for. It's not the new life that Tess imagined.

And what makes that more galling is that Tess' best friend Amy is living an amazing life in New York with her new job working for Al and planning the launch of his new fashion line.

So when Amy asks Tess to join her in New York for Christmas, Tess doesn't really have much to lose.

A lot happens in the next week or so, and I won't get into too much detail to avoid spoilers. But it's fair to say that there were a lot of moments of laughter at the situations that Tess got herself into, some cringing seeing that she is getting completely the wrong end of the stick, and a lot of heart felt moments that made me want to give Tess and Amy a big hug.

I think this is the last book in the series and that makes me a little sad as I'd like to see more of how Tess gets on with the decisions she makes in the last chapter, but the epilogue was enough to keep me going. This was such a good ending to a fantastic series.

Great easy reading trashy end to the series, as you would expect from this book. However, this (Kindle edition) has clearly not been proof-read by anyone. Littered with typos (of the kind that spell-check won't detect) and words omitted, it really did get on my nerves at times.

Man, this got me in the Christmas spirit good and proper. I so loved being back in the life of Tess, and being in New York meant we got a good, healthy dose of Angela and Jenny (although sadly no Alex). I currently don't know if I should laugh, cry or go and hug everyone I know.

I always like a Lindsey Kelk book!

Although I don't think this series is as great as her I Heart one, her story telling is always light, entertaining and funny!

I also appreciate the little connections made between all of her characters and books; she's very good at doing that.

Probably the only thing that irked me was that it wasn't Chrismasy enough and the plot wasn't exciting, but it was nice to be back with Tess and friends, it was a perfect, easy read to leave and enter a new year in!

Tess Brookes is by far one of my favourite ever female main characters. For three books now, her fabulous life and ability to take a risk have kept me hooked, and A Girl's Best Friend was simply amazing. It took me a couple of weeks to read it, which is almost unheard of for me, but I've been SO busy recently that I haven't had time to sit down and completely get into it, but every time I picked it up, I remembered what had happened previous and I was just so desperate for Tess to have some good luck for once! It was so much fun to see her in New York, with best friend Amy and Kekepi, and to see Al again, it's SUCH an awesome cast, Amy TOTES needs her own book.

I've been Team Nick since the first book, and he just makes me heart melt. The events of book two were devastating, but we DO see Nick again, so #TEAMNICK fans can rejoice. Charlie? What can I say about Charlie? That Prologue told me EVERYTHING I needed to know about Charlie. Ugh. Nick just has it all as far as I'm concerned, and the romance in this book will not LET YOU DOWN, peeps.

I have no idea if this is the last book for Tess, it was wrapped up very nicely, but I would love more Tess. This is surely just the beginning for Tess, so there MUST be another book, or five? RIGHT, RIGHT? But, like I said, I also think Amy needs a book. Amy is the best friend every girl should have. Every girl deserves an Amy in their life. She's AWESOME.

YES! Kelk fans rejoice - when Tess goes to New York, she meets Angela and Jenny from I Heart fame. As soon as I knew Tess was heading to New York,I was DREAMING about this collab. There is literally nothing more awesome for me when characters pop up in an author's future books. It made my day when I read those scenes, honestly it was just amazing.

This was another amazing installment in the life that is Tess Brookes. She has the best life ever, travelling all over the world, she has the most amazing friends a girl could ever wish for and NICK MILLER, man. Nick Miller. And there's Charlie, of course. Eurgh. Is this the end for Tess? I hope not, but if it was (PLEASE DO NOT BE THE END) it was a fantastic final book.
