This book focuses mainly on the trial against the Big Bad Wolf. We also get to see more of what Ferryport Landing us like with Mayor Heart in control and humans gone.

I think what I liked most of this book is we hear a different twist on the Red Riding Hood tale. It’s original and unique. We also get some more movement on the puzzle to waking The Grimm’s Sisters parents.

In a way, this book felt like a way to get from point A to point B as it wasn’t as much of its own story as the previous books have been. But honestly I don’t really mind that because the book at a few important developments that made reading it worthwhile. I loved a particular scene between Puck and Sabrina where he tells her she’s pretty. No wonder I loved those two so much as a kid; they’re so freaking cute!! Anyway, I’m excited because this was the last reread for me. The next book is brand new territory!

How can you not like a book that features the Mad Hatter as a judge, Robin Hood and his Merry Men as litagators, and Little Red Riding Hood as a raving lunatic? Even though it's the sixth in the Sisters Grimm series it hasn't lost any of its fun, excitement, or wit.

I was kept unsure of where things were going with the trial until near the end. The last few books have ended with a "this is where we are going next" sort of cliffhanger, and I was able to predict what that would be this time. Overall, i enjoyed it.

Okay so definitely the most serious one so far. This one actually creeped me out, but the backstory discovered was definitely the most intriguing. The story didn't really start to develop until the end, and then things just kind of rushed ahead. So I would have like it to be paced better. Some character development was good (ie. Puck) and some was a little cliche (Daphne). It's kind of crazy that Sabrina is so stubborn and not really a nice person at all, yet you still root for her.

Mr. Canis has been imprisoned and awaits trial. The Grimm family is barred from seeing him until the day before the trial. Will he be sentence to death for the murders he committed before taming the wolf? Meanwhile, Uncle Jake and the girls search for Goldilocks who is the only hope to save the girls' parents.

Funny, suspenseful, and an overall great read. This series is still so much fun!
