This book took me a while to read. The beginning was a bit slow for me so it took me a while to get into it, but once it picked up, I really enjoyed it. The banter between Molly and Gavin, their little emoji inside jokes, the heat between the two of them on the web show… it was all so great!

I’ll admit, though, Molly did get on my nerves… especially towards the end

"She was in a relationship of serious inconvenience with her [best friend's] ex-husband-slash-now-super-complicated-brother-in-law."

Charming, witty, humorous, genuine and a little spicy There's Something About Molly has a little something for everyone.

I think this series would be a big hit for anyone in charge of raising little humans. And while I cannot relate to the mom-wisdom, I can certainly relate to Molly. Sacrificing your own happiness for others, putting yourself last, I think a lot of us can relate to that mom or not.

This was a great journey for Molly and Gavin and while There's Something About Molly can stand-alone, I think readers would get the full effect from reading Rachel, Out of Office first.

The epilogue was my favorite! Looking forward to see what happens next in April May Fall.

There’s Something About Molly is chock full of ideas and a fair amount of humor. Though it’s technically a standalone, I think readers will get more out of the book if they’ve read Rachel Out of Office first, as it introduces both of this story’s main characters in that book.

Molly Princeton is a single mom with an aversion to relationships. She can’t help it; it’s practically a defense mechanism at this point. And it’s ironic, given the fact that she provides dating advice for her career. She most definitely doesn’t have feelings for her best friend’s ex, Gavin, beyond irritation and annoyance. But, when circumstance throw them together, the line between irritation and attraction will deliciously blur. The question becomes whether or not Molly can get over her fears and give love a chance.

As I mentioned above, this book is full of ideas… maybe too many. There are some great tropes here: fake relationship, enemies-to-lovers, etc. but nothing feels completely actualized. Which is a shame, because there are some great moments in the book. I loved Molly’s friendships with her group of lady friends, as well as her relationship with Agnes, but I had a difficult time understanding her motivations and insecurities. We get glimpses of her prior relationship, but I felt like it was more tell than show, so I didn’t really feel the impact of its effects. I liked Gavin as the male protagonist, but couldn’t quite understand why he was drawn to Molly, when frankly, she was kind of standoffish and mean. I needed a little more substance between them to make it believable to me.

Though this mostly missed the mark for me, I think it’s still worth a read if you’re intrigued by the premise.

Thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Very cute book! Moly and the kids were hilarious - especially the green skittles scene. I didn't feel the enemies-to-lovers as much as I would have liked. I suspect that there are more reasons to dislike Gavin at the start if we've read Rachel, Out of Office.

The cast of side characters was great too. Agnes and Charlie were wonderful.

The steam is a little odd-it's pretty steamy right up to....a one sentence euphemistic end of chapter line.

But overall a very enjoyable book and I'll be reading the next one!

I received an ARC copy from Net Galley, but this review are my own.

I enjoyed this second book in the Mommy wars series. Fake dating and dating a friend's ex. Overall I enjoyed it but I didn't think it was quite as good as the first one about Rachel. I did like getting to know more about Gavin (Rachel's ex) and seeing him in a more sympathetic light. The book does a great job showing the challenges of single motherhood and how hard it can be to ask others' for help. I loved how each chapter starts with a quote about mom life. Great on audio and I'm excited to read the next book in the series. This one just felt a bit rushed and I wanted more from Molly and Gavin's relationship.

There’s Something About Molly is a fun, delightful read that really made me smile.

Molly works as dating coach giving advice through her Youtube channel. It’s incredibly ironic seeing Molly fix up her friends when she has such a hard time finding love for herself. As a single mom with a son dying to go to stunt camp, a car on the fritz and a house on the market just outside her budget, Molly enters a matchmaking competition hosted by the local radio station. She quickly realizes, however, that her chances will drastically increase if she is part of couple. Enter Gavin, the man she despises most.

Gavin is the best. My favorite part of this book was definitely the redemption of Gavin in Molly’s eyes. His character’s development really stuck with me. There’s not much I love more than a man who can admit he was wrong. Unfortunately, I had a hard time connecting with Molly. Her constant second guessing of everything and her self deprecating humor made it hard to like her as much as I should. That being said, Gavin brought out the best in her and together they made a great match.

Please note that I received an ARC from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I knew from Rachel’s book that Gavin had a lot to make up for because wasn’t that great of a guy in her book, but when I got to this book, he did a complete 180. He has been working on being the best for his sons, helping his ex-wife, and just trying in general to be a better man. I could see from the beginning just how much he has grown and changed so when Molly was still bent out of shape trying to hate him it kind of made me mad at her. Molly is the best friend that has your back no matter if she only gets one side of a story or what, so when she thinks she knows all there is to know about Gavin she starts to realize he isn’t exactly like the guy she spent so much time hating on. I loved that Molly was loyal and the fun friend, but I didn’t like she spent so much time trying to justify her behavior towards Gavin because if Rachel forgave him, she should too. Together these two should not work because of all the animosity that has been spent towards Molly not liking him, yet they do have an attraction because they both can see what truly lies underneath that façade. When these two decide to embark on a fake relationship to benefit each other things really start to heat up and I enjoyed them together. Molly had a lot on her plate, but she never stopped dreaming of more and Gavin wanted to help her see she deserved it all. When feelings come into the equation fake goes to real, but Molly spends so much time behind her walls that she actively tries to push Gavin into another woman’s arms a lot. She can’t see why they fit and that he doesn’t want anyone else, but what can Gavin do to prove she is all he wants? Will Molly finally lower her walls and realize Gavin is meant for her or will she continue to self-sabotage herself? I loved the friend dynamic, I loved Gavin and how much he has grown, I enjoyed Molly but didn’t like her constant self-depreciation, and I absolutely adored the kids. Overall, a cute read with fun banter, awesome elderly couple, and the realization that sometimes others do know what’s better for us than we do.

This book exuded quirkiness all the way through. Molly is a dating coach that doesn't coach, and Gavin is the man she loves to hate because he's her BFF's ex, regardless that the BFF doesn't hate him. Throw in a matchmaking competition and a fake relationship and it all sounds more confusing than it is. At times Molly was her own worst enemy, and if she can just get out of her own way, she could have everything she wants. Overall, I really liked the interaction between Molly and Gavin and loved watching their relationship evolve.

Molly and Gavin’s enemies to lovers romance gave me all the feels. It’s a fine line between love and hate and these two were straddling that line. This was an entertaining read packed full of emotion. The anxiety and insecurity was raw and real and I felt a connection to both characters.

I have been thoroughly enjoying every bit of this series, and this newest installment is no exception for me!
I really wasn’t expecting the path that the heroine took in this one, and I think it was a sweet ride to loving herself. Add in a hero that’s content to give her the bricks to build that foundation and we have a winner.
This book was a little slower of a read for me, since I didn’t really have a super strong connection at the beginning with either character, but they made it happen.
