Let’s just say this is the best Betsy book. The amount of anxiety I got when Joe went with Irma…
They’re so perfect! also ladies if a guy only makes good choices when he’s around you that’s not on you bestie. you don’t have to keep him around. Okay thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
Also let’s have a moment of appreciation for Anna.

Yes i just read it again in like a day. The ending gets me every time

It's been 6 years since I read this so of course everything made me cry. Tony made me cry. As You Like It made me cry. Joe making fudge made me cry. It's fine.

Officially, I don't like Joe. I'm happy for Betsy in her happiness with him, but he's an ass and never won me over in this or the last 3 books. This book even more than last moves Betsy's friends to the background, and that makes the charm of this story a little bit more dim than previous books. I think part of it is Betsy growing up, but also more generally the perspective is changing. I'm not as excited for the last two books of the series as I have been for previous stories, but of course I will finish up the series.

Betsy and Joe have my heart. I’m talking Anne and Gilbert level obsessed. Words fail me when I attempt to explain why.

The last few pages of this novel, where Joe and Betsy discuss their future, left me absolutely captivated. In its simplicity, I found it to be one of the most romantic scenes I've ever read.

There's nothing quite like a slow burn romance that spans across multiple books (in this case, four) between characters who feel so familiar to the reader. It's like watching two old friends, whom you've always known were destined for each other, finally figure it out. For me, this kind of story is the ultimate reward in reading.

Joe is kind of a pill. I mean, I'm happy for Betsy and they're certainly compatible but he's pretty annoying with his stuffy pride. Honestly I liked "bad boy" Tony better because he had a more easygoing personality. Still Betsy made her choice and it was a fun ride to get to it.
