While I don't consider Among the Beasts & Briars the top book in my library, I have surprised myself by how often I think of it after finishing it. It's really tightly written with good pacing, enjoyable characters and scenarios. I'd love a sequel to this with the ending suggesting a possible route for one. As a standalone book though it's still a great read for those dark autumnal nights.

I want more! For some reason this book made me really nostalgic, and I absolutely loved it. This book is filled with whimsy, a lot of magic, and some really cute banter. There were some scenes that felt a little bit too “walking dead” for my taste, but overall this was really well done!

This was a cute, clean read. But it was lacking character connection.

While I did quite enjoy the book I couldn’t give it anymore than 3 stars. I thought the plot was a 4/5 but the novel was riddled with grammatical errors, repeating words in sentences, and missing words. The ending was also slightly lack luster and simple. I did enjoy reading it and thought it was cute.

She falls in love with the fox haha I just can’t get around that haha

I enjoyed the book and the concept, the talking fox and the bear made the book in my opinion I love seeing animal companions in fantasy books.
