A cute little YA fantasy with magic and an adventure. This was quick and a fun little escape.
I am absolutely in love with this book! The story was very well laid out and there was just enough mystery to keep you in the dark throughout the book on what exactly was going to happen.
The story is definitely a very dark fairytale kind of story. The development of the characters throughout was very interesting for me. Many times they will either be almost completely flawed or almost completely perfect. In this story, that wasn't the case. They all had both flawed and heroic moments and I love that! It's so much more realistic and relatable.
Now, I wouldn't recommend this book for anyone in the middle grade range or younger. There is a good chunk of cuss words ranging all the way across the board randomly throughout. My review rating is actually a 4.5 because of this. They felt very unnatural to me in the way they were said.
As far as who I'd recommend it to, anyone who loves Fantasy and Fairytales (the original darker versions, not the happy go lucky kind).

I enjoyed this book so much!! The characters were wonderful, particularly Cerys and Fox. I liked the mythology and the magic too. Definitely recommend!!!
This was a very good book. Very fantasy and semi-corny here and there but hey we love that ya know? The book at points was shockingly dark but in a really good way that added such an intrigue to the story. Semi-horror vibes. The love story felt like a bit much here and there but it was never like bad, I'd say good and I was content with it at the end. Also all the magic and world building here was extremely good. Epic.
What a bizarrely under developed story. I really loved the concept but everything good and interesting was rushed and glossed over!
