The inner conflicts of the characters were repetitive. It just became boring. The chemistry between the two was told more than shown.

Pros:  Hilarious premise, fun having the fan fic snippets at the end of chapters, April and Marcus each have good personalities.

Cons: Do college professors really not know what dyslexia is?  Should you really go no-contact with your mom because your dad emotionally abuses her?  Does it make people feel good to listen to this kind of background plot?  It was so boring and unbelievable and honestly unpleasant.   Also: what's with all the pegging?

Love this book so much! Fanfic writing, body positivity, dyslexia rep, cutting out toxic family, and throwing shade at the show runners from GOT

It was fine. I guess I wasn’t vibing with the chemistry or something. Or maybe the audiobook narrator somehow bored me. Overall, I don’t think the story was all that punchy or thrilling. Felt like a normal relationship. There’s a 3 act breakup but you should already expect that from the synopsis. It exhausted me nonetheless.

It was cute, but IMO you have to seriously suspend your belief in reality to read this book.

A couple cons would be the seriously unrealistic story line, and the fact that our heroine was so adversed to eating healthy. I’m a big person, so I believe I have a real perspective to give to this storyline. Our heroine was strong and wasn’t insecure in her body which I loved, but just because someone is big doesn’t mean that they eat all the time, and definitely doesn’t mean they eat pizza and donuts all the time

I felt like the idea was cool but i don’t know I just couldn’t get into it.  I felt like the characters baggage was just overwhelming.
