not my favorite book of hers. almost at the end and struggling to keep interested. keep coming back because I did enjoy the original series.

it was a decent read. it would have been better had it been a complete different book in my opinion. what hindered this book was trying to connect this book w the others when it was clearly finished before in bloodrose. the writing is less entertaining and less enjoyable to read. i pushed through this book bc i felt like i had to for sake of the series. i’m so annoyed that we don’t know what happens to REN

You know, I wasn't so sure at first. Continuing the series...after it already broke my heart....

But I'm okay with it. It was great to be back with some of the characters - and even to get a glimpse of Shay and Calla as they enjoy their new homes and lives.

It was interesting to have so many different POV and to finally see what was going on around Calla and Shay as they were wrapped up in their own worlds. To get to know some of the hidden secret and motivations of some people was really eye opening too.

and I'm hooked.I can't wait to read the next one in the series!

I love the Nightshade series. It's one of my all time favorite series. However, while I liked this book, it kind of fell a bit flat to me. I wasn't sucked into it the same way I was with the original first three books, but I still really enjoyed it. I will definitely read the rest of the series because I'm really curious to see where it goes.
