I wouldn't say this was a 'couldn't put it down' but it was definitely enjoyable and interesting. I am not a hardcore fan by any means and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I HIGHLY recommend if you have ever watched and liked The Princess Bride. I also recommend the audio over the book because why wouldn't you want to listen to all the cast and whatnot? then, go watch the movie and some behind the scenes videos on youtube because why not!

I listened to the audio book which was a real treat. Listening to Elwes narrate was almost as good as watching one of his movies. He also does terrific impressions and used that skill frequently throughout the book. This was a sweet love letter to The Princess Bride. I learned a lot of things about the cast and the making of the movie and now I need to rewatch it with my newfound knowledge.

I loved this book! Some people are bitching and whining that it was all 'Sunshine and Lollipops'...GOOD! I would have been so bummed to read that the making of my all time favorite movie was a miserable experience. I'm so glad to hear that there were no Diva's on set, or that certain actors felt they were above everyone else. The joy that these people had in making this movie absolutely comes out in their performance. You can tell when you watch it that they all loved playing their roles.
When I was a little girl, I was madly in love with Cary Elwes. It's so great to read his memoir of the making of 'The Princess Bride' and see that's he such a nice, down-to-earth kind of guy. If you're a fan of the movie, then I absolutely recommend reading this. It's a lighthearted behind-the-scenes look at an American Classic. I've seen this movie probably a hundred times and it never gets old. I recently introduced my 7 year son to it and (thankfully) he loved it just as much as I do. Great read!

Do you love Princess Bride? You should read this:
I don’t really have any reasons to read this book because really if you love the movie, you should read this book. The audio book provides a full cast of people with their thoughts. And you will not watch the movie the same way again now that you know what was happening behind the scenes. It is very clear that even after all these year, the cast truly did care for each other then and now. After reading this book, I just have to rewatch the movie again!
