As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of The Princess Bride by Cary Elwes

5.0

I loved this book! Some people are bitching and whining that it was all 'Sunshine and Lollipops'...GOOD! I would have been so bummed to read that the making of my all time favorite movie was a miserable experience. I'm so glad to hear that there were no Diva's on set, or that certain actors felt they were above everyone else. The joy that these people had in making this movie absolutely comes out in their performance. You can tell when you watch it that they all loved playing their roles.

When I was a little girl, I was madly in love with Cary Elwes. It's so great to read his memoir of the making of 'The Princess Bride' and see that's he such a nice, down-to-earth kind of guy. If you're a fan of the movie, then I absolutely recommend reading this. It's a lighthearted behind-the-scenes look at an American Classic. I've seen this movie probably a hundred times and it never gets old. I recently introduced my 7 year son to it and (thankfully) he loved it just as much as I do. Great read!
