I feel like not much happened in this book considering it was just over 400 pages, but I liked the ending, and liked Winter's character development. I thought it was quite funny who Gestalt turned out to be and didn't guess that, and the "heartbreak" that Valkyrie felt wasn't predictable either. This feels like a bit of a filler book for setting up the next one, and the plot of the isolationists felt like a bit of an add-on to fill things out. I enjoyed it overall though and will always read skulduggery books for however long they go on for!

Really liked this apart from Gestalt's actual identity. Done for pure shock value and resurrects a plot line that was neatly wrapped up in Phase 1 and should have stayed dead.
That Caelan was the one killed Fletcher just felt disrespectful and infuriating
