There was nothing wrong with this book, it was well written and the characters were not annoying. It was just a book that I did not find that exciting or memorable.

I am a huge fan of K. Bromberg's and Combust once again proved why she is an auto-buy author for me. I just loved this story and once I started, I couldn't stop reading. The characters were great and so was the story, and I think fans of hers as well as new readers are going to love this one!
Combust is the second book in the Everyday Heroes series of standalones and this story features Grady Malone and Dylan McCoy. When Dylan finds her star boyfriend in bed with someone else, she wants nothing more than to get away from him. But her agent needs her to keep their breakup on the down-low and finish the album that they are under contract to make together before anyone finds out. Needing to get out of town, she heads to Sunnyville where her brother hooks her up with a roommate in the form of a sexy firefighter that she can't help but want. Each of them have their own reasons for wanting to keep things casual, but neither of them can stop what is happening between them, especially when a visitor shows up and changes everything.
I loved Grady and Dylan. Each one had their own scars and vulnerabilities due to things that they had faced, and they both needed each other. I felt for both of them, and I was glad that they founbd each other. Their connection went so far beyond just the attraction and chemistry that was there from the start with them, and I loved how each one was supportive and encouraging of the other. They were so good for one another, and I really felt like they were meant to be together.
Overall, I loved this book and the cast of characters in this world that K. Bromberg has created. I can't wait to read more, and I know Bromberg won't disappoint. She is such a talented writer and is one that I always recommend to readers that enjoy contemporary romance. If you are a fan of hers, you will definitely want to check this one out and if you are new to her this is a great one to start with though you can't go wrong with anything that she has written!

This Book was FIRE!!! I so much more than Loved it! It was so Damn Good!! Deserves way more than 5 stars! I have a new favorite Malone brother, move aside Grant, because Grady instantly charmed me! I loved his dirty mind and how he riled up Dylan. Grady is suffering from PTSD and the scars that haunt him everyday, he covers it with charm and women. My heart bled for him, this book was so real, I felt so connected. Dylan needed time away from her home and her cheating ex, she winds up being Grady's Roomate. A Hott as Hell Firefighter and a songwriter, the heat between these two about melted my kindle! I Loved everything about them, they both have insecurities, but together they overcome their fears and give into Love. This book has so much heart and raw passion! I don't do this book justice! It is Everything! I laughed, cried and got hot under the collar! I read this book in one sitting, I just couldn't stop reading once I started. I'm Talking Hook, Line and Sinker! Bromberg knows how to write an all consuming, emotional romance that will burn you to your core! "Two in, Two out"

Another perfect book by K. Bromberg!! This author just doesn't know how to write a bad book. The second book in the Everyday Heroes series, I could not get enough of it. I was actually sad that it ended. Out of the two books, this one is my favorite.
You can't help but fall Grady and Dylan. Their chemistry is off the charts. Grady is sexy, and sweet and just so yummy. I love how they heal each other of insecurities and past demons. I love them together.

That poor tortured soul. Grady stole my heart almost from the beginning. What he went through... You have to be a very strong willed person to come mostly whole from the other side. And yeah... Some might say that he wasn't mostly whole,but I don't see it that way. The way I see it you have to be mostly whole to be able to function after experiencing such thing. He was mourning and dealing with his own tragedy. And that's kinf of heartbreaking all on its own.

4.5⭐️ Audible listen - Hands down my fave of this series! Grady and Dillon each had their issues that I felt were truly mapped out so we could understand them. I also thought they were relatable and sympathetic characters. So emotional and impactful!! And of course the narration was on point!
I thought Grady’s trauma and the continual struggle to manage his anxiety and fear were completely understandable. He also was never a jerk to anyone and treated his friends and family so well. He also was so yummy in how he spoke to and treated Dillon. He was definitely BF material.
I thought Dillon’s struggles with body image were relatable on such a visceral level. I feel everyone woman could feel her pain. The swimsuit thing at the lake - umm every time we wear a swimsuit! And it was reinforced by the vitriol assholes spewed her way. But Dillon was so much more than her insecurities. She was strong and opinionated and she looked out for herself. She was also so so good for Grady. She loved him effortlessly.
