Read for Horror Book Club. I knew going in that there were a few different perspectives and timelines. The story was actually pretty easy to follow compared to other books I've read with similar set ups. The timelines were clear without too much jumping around. All in all, I thought it was an interesting read.

I didn’t think this book would be for me since I don’t usually like historical slow paced horror, but I ended up really enjoying this. It genuinely gave me the creeps at times but wasn’t too overtly scary. It had major Pet Sematary vibes with a historical twist.

Story: 4/5
Audiobook: 5/5 (narrated by Cassandra Campbell & Kathe Mazur)
Length 10h45min

It was obnoxious that over the span of how many years, no one had found the entrance to this cave, even though it was basically in plain site.

This book has too many moving parts and at 32% wasn’t getting too interesting for me at least.    I think this one is a no go.

3.5. It was an interesting read and a unique story and setting. I’m giving it 3.5 stars as many people have raved about this book and said that it was very creepy and scary. I found the eerie atmosphere interesting but at no point was I creeped out or scared. I guess I went in with too high hopes
