So far I really like this book by [a:Lara Adrian|375626|Lara Adrian|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1380050732p2/375626.jpg]. I do not have much experience reading books that have submission in it. But what I read so far is great! This book doesn't come out until May 24th, but it is very well written. I will update this once I finish the whole book. But definitely better than the others I have read.

**UPDATE**

I have finished this book and it was really good. It is so not the same as the other two stories that I had originally compared it to. This one was a lot better written and the characters were more likable.

I really like Avery and Dominic. There was an instant attraction, and even though she tried not to fall for him, she did. I just loved the story line, it had me flipping pages so fast. At the end especially! I was so mad at Avery at the end but you will understand when you read it.

I just cannot wait for the next book, it cant come fast enough! I really enjoyed it. Now to wait for her next Midnight Breed series book to come out soon!

I have read Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed series and was a fan so I thought I would try one of her contemporary books since it was a freebie. I was quite disappointed in this one. This is not really a romance book, it is smut; I did not feel connected to the characters or was convinced of any connection between them beyond their bedroom activities. The writing was fine but apparently I am not impressed by billionaire 'romance' trope either.

Everybody has secrets. From the beginning it is obvious that Avery has deep dark secrets and you know they are going to come between her and Nick. Billionaire Dominic Baine has secrets too and I’m guessing that some of his will be revealed later. The chemistry between Avery and Nick is electric from the begining. I loved getting to know them. Avery is strong , determined and fiercely loyal to her family and friends. Nick is a ruthless businessman but also shows that he has a deep caring side.

For 100 Days is the first book in Lara Adrian's newest trilogy. The entire trilogy follows Avery Ross and Dominik Bane and the books are definitely not stand alone stories. I have been a fan of Ms. Adrian's for years, so I was really excited when I read about this story. Unfortunately for me, the book fell flat. I wasn't really invested in the story until abut 75% of the way through and I found myself putting the book down to do other things. That is very unusual for me. Normally once I start a book you don't see me until it's done. Now, despite saying that, this wasn't a bad story, it just didn't grip me the way that many books have in the past. Going into this book I didn't realize two things that may have made me reconsider reading it. Those two thing are that the story ends in a cliffhanger and that the book is told in first person from one character's perspective. I'm not a fan of either of those things. I can deal with first person if I must, but it makes for a better story (at least to me) when I get both characters perspectives. The fact that this story ended in a cliffhanger with serious tension between the two main characters does make me want to read more, but I will proceed with the rest of this series with caution. I give this book 3 stars because to me it was only okay. I will continue with the rest of this series, but not necessarily as soon as the books come out.

I was given a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
