Quirky and subtly disturbing. I like that the ending was utterly ambiguous, insidious, and slyly dreadful.

Interesting story, clever art. But now the Bangles are stuck in my head.

This is such an interesting read - laugh-out-loud funny (esp. if you're any type of Analyst) and meaningful all at the same time. A wonderful odd duck of a book and I will be recommending it far and wide.

This was a gorgeous graphic novel with a story that many could put their own meaning of a moral. It has universal appeal and touches on many understandings of what it is to be labeled different, the hostility felt towards something or anyone that is deemed strange or weird, and the desire to eradicate rather than to learn about and let people just live their own lives. I first felt like this was similar to the movie The Truman Show with its perfect surface but nefarious underside. It kept me engaged and I am thinking about the ending and don't think there is a truly correct answer to what happened to Dave, but with our own life experiences, any response given is correct.

Weird(ly profound), original to a t and maybe my favourite thing so far, this year? Stephen Collins is a kind of genius, weaving the bizarre and the authentic in this bold portrait of conformity, life and individualism. This book is everything you'd expect based on the title and also nothing at all.
