Part of my series reread. I'm not sure I grasped the significance of this short on my first read.
I love who this short story starts with. It explains the more fantastical aspects of the story whilst firmly grounding it within the series.
I also love when it takes place. For reader of the whole series this day is particularly special date.
This series of books is a masterpiece!

Too short a short. I really wanted more, but it was great to get a brief glimpse into a *possible* history of the labyrinth.

Não há muito a dizer sobre estas 15 páginas. É uma short story rebuscada, tentando à força entrar no mundo do Cemitério dos Livros Esquecidos e falhando redondamente. A única explicação que vejo para Zafón ter escrito isto é simples: precisava de uma ferramenta de marketing extra para vender "O Prisioneiro do Céu".

I love Carlos Ruiz Zafon's work and this did not disappoint (even if it was only 16 pages long).

There isn't much to say about this one, it was only a few pages. So I learned a few things, but at the same time I learned nothing. He is better at writing long stories, it flows more there.
Still interesting of how it all came to be. I'd like a longer book about it.

I love when authors have short novellas as part of a larger series (The Expanse is another series that does this). There's just something about getting more background information on a series that you love that makes it something more. In this one we go way back to the 1400s to explain some origins of the Cemetery of Forgotten Books. It brief at just 36 pages, but gives us the start of this special place that leads to the events in the series. It's not much, but worth a read if you're digging the series.
