Not gonna lie, I thought  Metamorphosis would be a bit pretentious. However, when I started reading, my perspective changed a lot.
 This book affected me in ways I didn't think it would. The themes of alienation, identity, and existential dread stayed and resonated with me for very long after I finished reading.
 Kafka's narrative style of writing and understanding human emotions is really amazing. 
Metamorphosis is a book that made me think about existence and the way that a human mind is actually very complex. 
Definitely recommend for anyone seeking a book that really makes you think about  consciousness and existential dread.
