I was over halfway done listening to this book when I saw a review for it that mentioned it was a follow up to Love Walked in . I read Love Walked in many year ago, which was just "ok" for me. Had I known this was a follow up to that book, I probably would not have picked it up. However, I am glad that I was in the dark, since I really enjoyed the characters is this book. And although it is quite long (13 CDs), I recommend the audio book.
Sequel to Love Walked In. The story is written from the p.o.v. of 3 different characters, all of whose stories are interesting in their own rights. Very enjoyable and well written.
I really enjoyed this book after just reading the author's first novel. I was in love with these characters all over again. I loved the little quotes the author had before some of the chapters also. I do think I got a lot more out of this book by reading "Love Walked In" first, but this can definitely can stand alone too.
I absolutely adored this book!! I thought it was going to be a quick, easy, predictable read with very one-dimensional characters that I would probably like a lot, but that'd be it. It's still quick and pretty easy (although there's a lot of great, witty, intellectual things thrown in that make me feel smart because I understood it), and it was still pretty predictable, I found the characters to be complex and flawed and absolutely real. I love Cornelia most and could relate to her in so many ways. Or maybe I just wanted to relate to her so I make stuff up in my mind. Doesn't matter. I love her. I was expecting to hate Piper, but she was the most surprising character to me. I thought she would be the stereotypical suburban housewife... very Stepford/Pleasantville... but the more I read of her the more I sympathized and the more I actually liked her. I wish we could have gotten to know Lake a bit more than just through her son's eyes, but I thoroughly enjoyed everything from Dev.
Get this book. I guess it's chick-lit. I don't care. I loved it.

What a wonderful book -- my sweet dear friend recommended this book to me and I am so happy I read it. Thank you Jennifer Rice
I listened to this while I drove to and from California, and it was fun and engaging.
I've never read anything by Marisa de los Santos, but I'd read another.

I really liked the story, although I felt like the plot like was a little slow and then all of sudden everything happened. Also, I didn't see a need for Piper's character at all. I felt that whole story line could have been left out and the book would have been just as good.
