3.5 stars. I really liked the story and the characters but some reason it just kind of dragged for me. I had my "Aha!" moment and then kept chugging along to see how it all played out, hoping there was a little more to it than that.

This was a fast read for me, and while it was an easy read, it was also an emotional one. I was really inspired by some of the characters, and I love the way their story ended.
Sweet, sad, and beautiful! This book is just as good as "Love Walked In." It continues the tale of recently married Cornelia and Teo as they move to a new home in the suburbs. There they try to make a new life for themselves while faced with many trials and obstacles. It's a book that's hard to put down.
Interesting read from the perspective of someone who lives in the suburbs. Speaks to friendships, new beginnings, secrets and forgiveness.I listened to the audio of this book which always makes the story come alive for me.It would make a good summer read.

There was nothing I really disliked about this book, but I guess it just wasn't my cup of tea:)
This was my first ebook on my Kindle which I think is at least in part what I liked so much about it.
The story is told from 3 different characters points of view with chapters alternating between them. I enjoyed this literary device very much because I thought the characters were well developed, believable and quite interesting. They were also complete enough and different enough that I always knew whose perspective I was reading about. The author did a neat job of allowing us to know what each character knew without allowing us to see the whole picture until the time was right. Therefore as the characters made discoveries, so did the reader.
As the story went on and the characters lives began to intermingle, the theme of relationships was very strong. The title, Belong to Me, is meaningful in terms of the theme of the book. It is about belonging to a group, belonging to a spouse, belonging to a parent and the feelings that result when one is asked to share a person with someone else, who can also claim a sense of belonging to or ownership of a person.
I thought the presentation of the complexities of female friendships and the Queenbee and Wannabee roles was very realistically portrayed. Supporting characters were also well-rounded believable people. One could argue that the ending was too neatly packaged and contrived, but I'm rather partial to an open ended happy ending.

A good story wonderfully told. A chick lit book but so much richer and deeper and with a wonderful sense of humor. I was delightfully surprised by her prose.
I really liked this book. Be aware that it is a sequel to "Love Walked In", which I would recommend reading first so you have backstory for some of the characters.
