An amazingly strong heroine, Evie Stuart is controlled by no one. She submits to no man’s control, but she finds herself wanting to submit to Anthony. These two come at everything in life as a challenge, and their relationship is no different. But they come to that challenge, perfectly matched, as equals. They learn the give and take required for happiness, in and out of the bedroom. They certainly heat up every page, but that does not detract from the ongoing intrigue of treason. The mystery surrounding that treachery leaves open so many wonderful opportunities for them to work together, and to know each other better than any other. A skillfully told story that ignites the passion and the mind. Evie and Anthony are utterly delicious!

This final story in the Deception and Discipline series is most enjoyed if you're familiar with the previous books, and even then, when we have characters being referred to by their title, their surnames and their first names, it makes me very glad that there is a list of characters at the start. This is a wonderful historical story that manages to be both very much of the time as well as being very modern, topical and current given the state of the world and everything happening at the moment. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a spinoff from this since there are characters that I'd love to read more from, and I can't be the only one.

Evie gets her man! Evie has had an unusual upbringing and it shows in her manner. She only behaves because she doesn’t want to bring shame upon her uncle the Marquess of Camden who took her in and gave her a future. She is smart and a gifted mimic. She uses her skills in a most unladylike way to help her uncle the Queens spymaster. Evie met Captain Anthony Browne a couple of times in her alternate personalities and captivated him. This book has them meeting again with her as herself and oh my the fireworks between them. This is a fast-paced romp with a lot of steam and fun characters.

I could live in this world. I love the characters. the pacing is fast, the story engaging, and it has just the right amount of spice. This author is starting to become one of my favorites, and I hope that she continues writing Regency era stories. In the mean time, I plan on reading everything Regency she has written!

“My cousin, marry? When Hell freezes over. She’s determined to be an old maid rather than giving another man dominion over her.”
Golden Angel has created another spanking sexy historical mystery to captivate us.
A Season of Spies brings us the rest of Evie Stuart and Captain Anthony Browne's story.
When they first meet he thinks she's a working girl until he realizes she was saving his life. A few years later they meet again at a secret society party and he thinks she is a maid.
When the truth finally comes out, Anthony must acknowledge that Evie is a woman with many skills and by her side is where he belongs.
Evie is an intelligent and resourceful young lady just trying to prove herself in the world owned by men.
With loads of treachery, suspense, action and sexy spanking times, A Season For Spies will keep you enthralled till the very end.

A Season for Spies, by Golden Angel. Good news! The fantastic and oh so irresistible duo Evie and Anthony are back. On this intense, spy catching job for the crown, Evie and Anthony brings you some entertainment, as well as some exciting romps in the boudoir department. You heard me! I was in heaven and very satisfied after reading Mrs. Angel’s book.
I liked that the writer provided some background information on the many characters within the story. I loved the fact that there are a few new characters. Most of the characters were a little funny and added some humorous moments here and there, I actually enjoyed that. The plot I felt was one of the tools best used to help the book have that realism to it. Evie and Anthony’s relationship brought some heat!
The relationship was the ultimate page turner. And when they came together, it was passionate, rough, hard, sometimes gentle and mind blowing. Until next time my fellow readers… read on!

This is undoubtedly my favorite book of the series! And it has my favorite kind of discipline… The consensual one! The one the woman enjoys as much as the man giving it. The spy story is compelling and fast-pacing and the love story is an integral part of it. The heroine of the book is a real force of nature and the hero has some difficulties keeping up with her! And do read the little prequel novella about their first encounter in a French brothel, Spy Season. It’s so good and so hot! This entire series is a real treat and I can’t seem to get enough of it! Golden Angel has really found her feet with spy stories mixed with her particular brand of erotica. She’s a gorgeous writer! (And yes, I used a lot of exclamation marks in this review, but I couldn’t help myself with a book this good, it seems…)
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I like how this series was really one story with the investigation continuing through each book.
