Character building was amazing, the pov we get through Scout is really captivating and moving at times. I felt it took a while to get to points in the book that i was interested in but in saying that, not once in the book did i feel like the writing was a waste of time. Every chapter had a meaning or idea it was trying to convey. Overall great book. Wasnt so good to be four stars but i feel everyone should read this book at least once. I dont think the characters jn this book will ever leave my mind.

Wonderful characters that are very quickly and successfully described and established for the role they play in the story. Totally in love with Scout (isn’t everyone?) and of course Atticus. Within the story - the trial itself was the most gripping part and I couldn’t put it down during it, but the story either side often felt a bit slow for me. Not sure of the significance of some bits and characters but it’s very possible it just went over my head! Had a tear run down my cheek on a few occasions; overall very happy to have read it.

How have I not read this book before? A wonderful story of compassion, goodness, justice and the desire of a child to understand the world around them and their place within it. Beautiful.
