It’s hilarious that the translation notes explain what a CD is

More on topic, while I absolutely loved the manga, it was mostly introducing every character without really fleshing each of them out or giving them time to breathe. (In the 90s anime, it takes quite a while for Usagi to even find the first sailor guardian. In the manga it’s the second chapter) I suspect this is because it’s the first volume and it’ll probably be remedied soon. Luckily I’ve got the next one on my shelf already <3

To be honest, I don't know exactly how to rate this! I didn't pick it up to seriously read, but because I was a fan of the 90s show when I was a child. I've been watching the new Sailor Moon Crystal as well, which this follows very closely. I was entertained by it, despite already knowing the story, so I decided to go with five stars. It's not anything absolutely remarkable, but it made me think fondly of my childhood. I look forward to reading more and collecting this whole edition.

Formulaic but fun! This is my first introduction to Sailor Moon, so I'm interested to see how the overarching story develops. 7.75/10.

This is my first time delving into Sailor Moon since my childhood, when I used watch it on TV in Italy. It brought back memories that I didn't even know I had-I'm amazed at how some of these adventures stayed in the back of my brain for so many years.
There isn't much more to say about this legendary magical girl manga, so I won't repeat what everyone else has been saying about how fun, nostalgic, and foundational it is. But wow, those outfits! I am fully admitting to being completely in love with the dresses and costumes that Takeuchi draws. They are so cute, and they all made me wish I could wave my own magic wand and have them appear, flawlessly tailored, on me. Like basically everyone else, I am completely head over heels for Sailor Moon's aesthetic.
I'm so glad I'm finally picking this manga series up! Can't wait to read the rest of the series <3
