Some good quotes within it, but ultimately hollow. Creativity and art isn’t something that you can guide people through with a book, and this is even hinted at throughout the text.

in this books defense, it did start off with "if you're not a spiritual person, this may not resonate with you," so i can't really be too upset with its content. i don't feel like any of the advice given in this book inspired me creatively aside from "just do it, even if it's shit," but i've heard that before in more or less words. some other passages, such as the ones about being present and attentive, did connect with me as i struggle with both, so those were neat takeaways. the rest of the book was basically just "the universe is trying to speak to you!! open your ears and receive her!" girl i'm playing toontown i can't do that.
Absolute waste of time. He vaguely rambles on and on but never actually comes to any conclusions or prompts the reader to do anything other than stupid exercises like keep a dream journal or notice everything around you. The appendix bursting part should have been enough of a red flag
