A fun read, but not as strong as the rest of the series

This series is my new favorite. Definitely going into my reread pile.
Basi and Kyros are my new favorite couple.

I loved everything about this unique story line and take on vampires.

I'm dead. So. Fucking. Good.

Everything came together here. Betrayal and yearning and lust never looked better than on these characters. Hands down, one of the best series I've ever read. Period.

Happy reading, Goodreads fiends.

You most definitely need to read this book!!!!

I absolutely loved this book I read it back to back In the space of 5 days lol. I love me a good vampire book. The main character was independent and strong willed which is what I love in an mc. The book had some amazing steamy parts which I loved too. I would definitely recommend this trilogy. Lol on to the the next shall we :D

In the last book, Basi's character development is fleshed out, because she would sacrifice herself for the sake of his friends and Kyros. She finally comes to know herself and realises what she really needs in life. Even though the blood bond between Kyros and Basi is growing stronger, the heir is unaware of his partner's risky actions. Of course, once all the lies are exposed, Basi is in control all the while. Fortunately, she can count on the support of Tommy, the butler Fred and the debtor vampires led by Laurel.

As we read on, I can't help but wonder if Basi will be able to repair her relationship with Kyros, while trying to save everyone she cares about.

This series was an enjoyable read, and I highly recommend it to fans of paranormal romance and vampires.

Death Game is a twist-filled, passionate and entertaining conclusion to Basi and Kyros' story.

*****4.5*****

My only quibble is that Basi and Kyros never really were on the same team. Since this is the end, I'd just have liked to see them working together, towards the same ends, and trusting each other. Telling each other everything, rather than working around each other.

They just don't really feel like a team, which doesn't really speak well of them in their HEA.

But honestly, I just loved it. I am sleep-deprived today, because I couldn't quit before the end last night. So it really is just a quibble.

I really enjoyed this series. The storyline was unique and enthralling, certainly unlike anything else I've read in this genre. My only reason for giving each book only 4 out of 5 stars was the relationship between Basi and Kyros didn't quite go deep enough, early on enough, for me to buy into it. Most of the relationship was built from anger and game playing and something about that didn't really have me rooting for them. Basi also had a few petulant, terrible decision-making moments that made me question how much I really cared about her as a character.

Holy cow

All I can say is what a ride. Basilia has been one of my favorite characters ever. Must read this series!

Great ending to a great series.

It was actually a funny read along with an enjoyable read, because Basi's behaviour and thoughts were oftentimes hilariou.

I can't believe the disappointment of this book!

It's like something happened to Basi to become such a back stabbing B*.

There is constant push back and forth, and repeated thoughts, thinking one - doing another, thinking one - but getting cold feet when it's time to do it and thinking about it again. - multiple times...

Then
Spoilerinstead of trusting Kyros and working together against the common enemy she betrays him THREE times, lies again and again, tricks him, works behind his back, hides important information, spies for herself.. puts lives of people she supposedly cares about in mortal danger while having the means to help them - she chooses not to.. until she's lost if all. Wow!
And then she does help them at the end - She could have done so from beginning and save the drama!...
. This book is all angst and drama and there is little focus on real relationships.

I loved the first 2 books and now I feel like I've wasted my time with this series. And more importantly it's a second time with the author.

The story structure is pretty much the same in here and werewolf den series - similar things happens in books 1, 2 and 3 at pretty much the same time in book.
If that's the pattern then it's definitely not for me...
