Great reminders for 2023: make more friends in Minneapolis

1) give yourself credit for initiating/trying to initiate
2) find ways to be vulnerable and generous to deepen friendships
3) celebrate joys/successes and show affection/appreciation

I’ve read a few books on friendship and this is by far the most comprehensive and best written of them all.

Kindle

This book was so dense I can see myself returning to it. Plus at different points of my life I am sure it will resonate differently.

I appreciated the evidence based approach mixed with anecdotes and team life examples

Highly recommend for anyone who wants to understand their friendships!

I've been working on my attachment style and this book offered me the opportunity to see how my attachment style plays out in friendships. I could see myself in some of the stories and it helped me figure out what areas I need to work on to be a better friend.

The author makes a great case for expressing affection often and not taking friendships for granted.

Highly recommend to anyone with friends.

This book is required reading! Such an easy and insightful read. It's what I bring up whenever I have a chance to smalltalk with folks. I'm sad that I'm done with it, but I'm glad I read it!

I feel like reading this book was so perfectly timed! Want a hard copy so I can scribble in it and highlight it all!
