Cuter than I expected. Made me snicker a number of times. Good books for those just starting chapter books.
I'll be honest and say I don't like this series as much as some other people I know.
I find the main character to be something of a brat. About midway through the first book I realized if my kid were to speak like Junie B or act like her, she'd spend an awful lot of time grounded.
Not a series I plan to continue with.

Such a gem of a series. The audio is fantastic as the pronunciation as it’s written to text is hilarious. A Nnouncements A Pologies etc. I highly recommend listening with the whole family even though my 6th grade won’t admit he likes them. I love when the teacher rolls her eyes upward and Junie wants to know what’s up there...
Junie B. Jones is hilarious, and I love the touch of an anti-authoritarian streak here. Was inspired to pick this up after a mother at the library told me, "Junie B. Jones is not a good girl. The message is that grownups don't know everything. Which is true, but they don't need to know that."

Junie B. has an infectious voice and is relatable to her readers in grades 1-3. When read with an adult she can also offer a different perspective and remind adults of how frustrating it can be to be a child.

Written for middle-grade readers, the book portrays a six-year-old's thought processes quite well.
This book is perfect when read aloud.. even to adults. Junie B. is so funny we couldn't stop laughing every time she would explain why she decided something. Or anytime she would stop to say "and guess what." After finishing the book my husband just looked at me and said "when we have kids, this is exactly how they are going to act." I'm not sure whether to be excited or scared at that statement. All I know is that it would never be a dull moment.
A non-stop action read told from the point of view of a nearly six year old, you won't be able to put it down.
