A quick read to keep my numbers up. It’s been a long time since I’ve read Junior B Jones. I loved these when I was younger.
This book is one from my childhood and going back and rereading it was a great experience.
My daughter is wrapping up this series and has found them appealing, funny, and entertaining. The main character is rather horrifyingly misbehaved (a la Eloise) but my daughter finds it quite fun and I'm OK with the narrative treatment of this kindergarten anti-hero. Another nice set of first chapter books for newly independent readers.
Very funny beginning chapter book. The grumpy kindergartener Junie B is a character that will appeal to many girls and boys too. Some incorrect grammar and not-really-so-bad bad words ("stupid" "hate" etc) but that is part of the charm. Looking forward to reading more of the series.

As a kid, I DEVOURED these books. Y’all— I’m in my re-read nostalgic books era ✨✌🏻
Somehow Park makes Junie B. both a super realistic smol childe, and endearing at the same time. A very delicate balance, especially for people who are child-exhausted (me, rn). But I still read this at work and enjoyed every moment.
