oh, well now this was just freaking adorable. i kept hearing about it, only good things of course! that it was hilarious, adorable and their sexiest book yet.. now i haven't read all of CL's books, but i've read a few. and sometimes my humour doesn't fit with other peoples, so i was a bit worried about that but had nothing to fear. it WAS freaking hilarious. the word that comes to mind with this book is delightful. Hazel was a freaking delight. I adored her. So many times, the weird quirky girl in books comes across pretentious or vain, but not Hazel. She was so realistic and wonderful and I adored her. I also liked Josh, of course, but I love how he liked and accepted her. Seriously, freaking delightful. It was funny, I laughed so many times, I covered my face in secondhand embarrassment a couple of times, I felt the dagger-through-the-heart feelings a couple of times, I felt all the things. it was steamy as all get out and i loved it. You really felt their friendship grow and then develop into more. And that epilogue? My heart. It's dead. Killed. So freaking adorable I might have gotten a bit teary. Maybe. Okay, definitely.

Highly, highly, highly recommend. I don't keep ARCs, so I'll be buying this one for sure so I can re-read it one day.

OMG CHRISTINA LAUREN HAS DONE IT AGAIN!!! What a cute, fun and heartwarming rom-com with some of my favorite tropes!! It has the best friends to lovers trope, opposites attract, slow burn, dual POV, short chapters and is filled with humor, tension, banter, and chemistry. I absolutely LOVED this book so much!! Once I started reading | literally could not stop and finished it in a day!! I found myself smiling, cackling and swooning the whole time!! Another book to add to my favorites for 2024!!🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷

Hazel is quirky, fun and eccentric but she can also be a lot to take. Realizing this about herself, Hazel makes no apologies for who she is and refuses to change for anyone. Josh is kind, handsome and more reserved.
Basically, he is the complete opposite of her! When they met in college, Hazel had a huge crush on Josh.
However, Josh thought of her more as a spectacle than a peer. But now, ten years later, they meet again and become best friends. Then they come up with this wild idea to double date and find the perfect match for each other. Let's just say, each double date is more disasterious than the last. But is there more between them? But how could they be right for each other with being so different? No way they could be compatible, right?

Overall, this is the perfect friends to lovers rom-com with a HEA and the sweetest epilogue EVER!! I highly recommend and it deserves all the stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a fun backlist book from CLo. I loved Hazel’s eccentricity, and I loved that Josh let her be herself. The third act pregnancy was a surprise, but a delightful one!

I really liked this! This was higher for me until my least favourite trope snuck in right at the end, sigh. However, I didn't mind tooooo much because it was right at the very end. I could've done without the epilogue. They was a very quick, super sweet story. Funny and lighthearted, easy to read and not too long. I lovedddd Josh. Loved Josh. Hazel was okay, at times a touch bit too much for me (which I understand is the point of the story), but I loved them together. I think the story was realistic into why they weren't together which I find a lot of friends to lovers story struggle with. I loved how Josh never wanted Hazel to change and fully accepted her for who she was, and I like how it felt like a really natural and well paced connection between them. I really enjoyed this!

Christina Lauren books are so fun to read, there’s just something about them that I can never get enough of.
I know most people have issues with the ending and I didn’t love the dramatic twist but I also didn’t hate it.
Also, I haven’t heard anyone else say this but the reader for Josh’s part in the audiobook... I just really didn’t like his voice for Hazel, but nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
