THIS!!!

A book I would read and listen to the audiobook on repeat and I really wouldn't get bored or tired of it!

written in a way to heal the reader and the listener, it's amazing how the words could just summarize what you are feeling and what you need to do or think of!

"I need you to understand something. I wrote this for you. I wrote this for you and only you. Everyone else who reads it doesn't get it." - it starts with this but it says what you will find!

"..Home is a place, not just a time.."

"..how many times this could hurt.
The question is, How many times can it heal"

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Wtf is this. This book is full of nothingness. Regret buying it. I’d like to keep an open mind, but so far… modern poetry has no depth.

I can also write “modern” chitchat and call myself a successful author.

You remember that time you were looking forward to *insert a situation*? Neither do I.

Here. Did you like it?

I cannot begin to express how beautifully overwhelming this is. It's so personal in that these words can mean so many different things to anyone who reads this book and everyone relates to it all in their own way; no matter what you're going through you can relate to any single one of these poems.

Pretty damn amazing poetry collection in my opinion. Mostly loved the sections on hope and on living. Would recommend!

First re-read: November 2018

I know this collection might be considered cheesy or cliché. I know it's not ground-breaking.
But it worked for me - yet again. There are so many poems in this book that it's almost impossible not to find at the very least one that speaks to you. And I've definitely found more than one.

I'd say that this is one of my favourite poetry collections. Some poems just touched me and made me feel stuff.
After two years, I still think that this collection is phenomenal, emotional and impactful.

Another Favourite Poem:
And if you're alone, I hope you know that I'm alone too.
So I believe we will be friends.
P.S.
You are beautiful and loved by the universe that made you, with every atom and star moving in perfect alignment to make you, you.

----------------------------------------

Favourite Poem:
I won’t compose prose every morning you open your eyes next to me (I won’t compare you to a summer day).
I won’t kiss the tears from your cheeks whenever you cry.
I won’t remember every appointment.
I won’t keep the sheen on my armour.
I won’t know what to say sometimes.
I won’t get your order right.
I’ll be late.
I’ll fuck up.
But I’ll write something for you when you least expect it (in summer or winter).
But I’ll hold as tight as I can whenever I can.
But I’ll burst through the door as soon as I remember.
But I’ll polish it until it shines again.
But I’ll say something anyway.
But I’ll go back and make it right.
But I’ll get there.
But I’ll try.

This book just didn't work for me.

There are many great ideas and some fractions totally resonated with me. I can see why this book helps people with their feelings because it portrays many different ones that many have had.
But I also felt that on some of these notions you could write entire books and that this mass of ideas is overwhelming.
Also, the idea of a poem collection is just not something that's for me, I can deal better with coherent stories. Sometimes, it seemed a little bit too strained.

This is the most beautiful thing I have ever read.

You can see why it is called "I wrote this for you". The poems took me straight to a memory of a person or a time.

There were some poems and entries that didn't affect me, however there were some that hit me like a freight train and some that made my heart stop for a brief second.

Absolutely stunning piece of work.
