book #15 of 2020: Storynomics: Story-Driven Marketing in the Post-Advertising World by Robert McKee and Thomas Gerace. This business book was in the periphery of my actual field, but it was interesting to get some additional insights in the worlds of Sales and Marketing. Some of the methods described seem insightful, and even crucial, to adopt in a now web-centric world, but some seem like they’d truly require absolute ESP about the internal workings of other companies (chapter 12: Storified Sales, I’m looking at you). It didn’t directly address what I was hoping to get out of it: improved presentations to executives, but I think I can use some of it. 3/5. and now for something completely different....
