For me, this was the weakest book in the series so far. Maybe I'm missing something, but they don't seem to be building to anything, and I'm not really excited to jump right into the next book.

As I make my way through the rest of this series I am enjoying the twists and turns that Jenny Nimmo has added not only in this book, but the first two as well. I found the idea of a snake that could turn you invisible really awesome.

This one really upped the scary factor with the shapeshifting creepy lady and everything. Also there are loads of awesome characters and some characters that you think are bad but in the end you're just like "Awww poor thing" and empathise with them and everything. Also the book is quite funny.
