☀️I am a true believer that in fiction and in real life, everything good you do, comes back to you. If you think everything is bad in your life, it's because something good is coming to you. ☀️

Just like that is the story of Mallory, a passionate and goal-driven woman. Who after years of supporting the one who claimed to be the love of her life, removes her from her future, leaving Mallory with a lot of problems. But she didn't count on Mallory having an ace up her sleeve, although to be honest, neither did she.
This is a story that you enjoy watching Mallory's growth because you can mirror her and move forward as she does. She is an amazing woman and life sends her many challenges, which she overcomes because she is an oak. I admire her with all my being and I would love to be as strong as she is. I would like to think that Mallory is the strength and talent of Avery and Tracy because their essence is in her.
Life doesn't give you challenges that you can't overcome and Mallory not only does, but she finds that which she sought for a long time. And her prize is one that many of us wish we could get.

I have a like & yet not like relationship with this book.  I cried, smiled, etc. while reading this book.  It is overall a sweet, emotional growth & romantic story, where you are rooting for the protagonist.   It has a great setup, & I do see how they got to the ending it has.  And I liked how it ended given the events of the book.  However, I think some of the plot points in this book could have either been removed or adjusted to make the book even better.  I'll leave you to your opinions if you decide to give this book a read.

This novel was only slightly better than a three-star "Eh" rating. Unlike other reviewers, I didn't dislike the main character. For me the main problem was that all the drama just kind of disappears. There's the unreconciled issues with the dad that barely get a parting mention. There's the drama around the long lost sister that becomes nothing at all way before the epilogue. In fact, once Mallory & Nick start hooking up the sister basically disappears completely. And don't even get me started on the biggest part of the drama, the divorce, that has no satisfactory conclusion other than a footnote in the epilogue.

The thing that elevates this slightly above the three-star rating for me was Nick's parents. Which is crazy because they were only at the very end, but that's the book I want to read. I also want to read about Aunt Maggie and her life. And I want a book where the sister hooks up with the contractor and they raise that baby together in Aunt Maggie's old house....

Lovely book. So easy to read and has all the elements you want in a book like this. It's so fun and all the descriptions of the furniture of aunt Maggie are just... colorful.
After starting this, you'll just keep reading untill the end.

Held my interest, but one too many plots and “surprises” and things going on.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. This rom-com was an adorable quick read that features a 35-year-old soon-to-be divorcee that inherits her deceased great aunt’s home. The problem is the house is in complete disrepair and she is incredibly low on funds. The story follows her through the struggles of repairing and cleaning out this house, as well as repairing relationships with her family and opening her heart to new relationships and a potential love.

I would have given fewer stars but I suspect the book just wasn’t written for me. I did finish the book so there is something to be said for that. If you enjoy riches to rags to riches this might be for you.
