Very bloody

Read first in high school, then reread this year. One of my absolute favorite Shakespeare plays. Just so much to love! How can you not love Hamlet?

I love the plot. Most of the humor is right up my alley, but when you are are not used to Shakespearean English, this proves to be a difficult and extensive read. Most definitely worth it, however.

gravedigger is the goat

This is my favorite of Shakespeare's plays so far; the first tragedy that's brought me to tears. It's no wonder to me that it's still extant. The characters are relatable (if a little caricaturish), the jokes make me laugh out loud, and the plot is quickly paced—never a dull moment.

The side by side was a nice addition. It helped me understand some of the difficult passages.

I found that I could relate to a 400 year old character.
