My feelings on this book are complicated, particularly as a black woman. Full if things that ring true and things that frustrate me. But I'm glad to have taken the time to read in full and I think it's an important part of the black literary canon.
Had many interesting points to make, but I couldn't get past the writing style. I feel like I missed more than I understood.
Had to read this for uni- a classic on racism and colonialism that remains insightful today. Minus a star for the misogyny and homophobia.
