An amazing end to an amazing series <3 Here's to a series that always kept me guessing

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SERIES! The author is fabulous! How it ended was FABULOUS! I'm completely happy with how Beth Revis decided to end this FABULOUS series.
No seriously one of the best finales to a YA trilogy EVER. There was much action, so many secrets, so many betrayals, SO MUCH EMOTIONS. *sigh* it was exhausting!
No seriously guys, there's non-stop action—and deaths. Lots and lots of death. My was heart beating like crazy with every chapter. My hands were sweaty at every turn or the page, and my eyes devoured, every word. Be prepared to be consumed, to ignore your friends and family and just order pizza (if you can even take time to do that!).
ok, ok, ok, enough blabbing about this book. Amy, Elder and everyone (left) of Godspeed finally land on Centauri-Earth, and it was everything and more that they were hoping for.
As one goodreads review put it, "Beth Revis created a believable world reflecting a place that is elementally advanced and pure, archaic in habit and habitat, and deeply rooted in what it means to be human. To not simply want to survive—that's animal instinct—but to thrive. To want and love something so much you'll won't let it go, whether it be freedom from metal walls, a mind-numbing drug, or an oppressive body of people. I love how the author captured that idea from multiple facets in the series and within each book. No matter the location, the decade, or type of person, faction, or "species," people just want to live, really live. The intentions and desires were so clear. The emotions were palpable, and the character growth was fantastic! Even more, Beth Revis arcs the whole series around to the previous books. Nothing was superfluous or left unchecked and unresolved." (Raina RaindropSoup)
It was just fabulous and I enjoyed every minute of it!
Violence: Heavy
Sexual Content: moderate (kissing and there is a part where it is implied that 2 people have sex-not graphic)
Language: moderate (if you consider Beth Revis created curse words bad but you get the idea)
Drugs/Alcohol: none

4.5 stars!! The only iffy I had with the book was that I didn't like the ending, but it was still a great last book :)
For a YA book, Beth Revis does a PHENOMENAL job at making this book (trilogy, overall) unbelievably engaging and far from juvenile. The description makes it so that it feels as if you are in the landscape with Amy and Elder. You can feel the things they feel. It’s so good. I wish I could reread it again without knowing what happened.
I do wish that there was a bit more at the end. I think it’s a very heartwarming ending. But I would love to see an expansion. Or maybe even a sequel of years later. Or a decade later (no spoilers).
Aside from just really wishing it didn’t end, it’s amazing. I love it. Definitely going in my top books.

Um...what is this cover? I'm not liking it very much. What happened to the pretty stars and Amy and Elder's faces or something? :(
I guess the cover is due to the change in scenery. They're going to be on another planet, i suppose. But still....I don't like the cover so far. Maybe it will grow on me. But for now, I hope it changes and this is just some kind of draft cover. Please?
Please?

Okay.
Revis suffers from KOEMCILB disorder. I just made that up. Yeah, I did. Let me translate. Kills Off Every In Last Book. [a:James Dashner|348878|James Dashner|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1204922790p2/348878.jpg] has it. But Besides That.
This book was incredible. It took me quite awhile to get into it but once i did it was like...

I love Elder. And I love Amy too. And I just love love love love that Revis didn't mess up the series by writing a sucky finale.
Now.
Elder and Amy have arrived to Centuri Earth finally because gosh it took them forever to get there. Most of the people who joined them on the escape pod thingy survived and it is now time for the Earth-borns to, well, thaw out. Immediately, Amy's father is in charge and there is a power issue between him and Elder as long as a trust issue between the Earth-borns and the...Ship-borns. However, they have to join together to tackle what lies in store for them on the new planet. There are secrets to uncover and it wouldn't be an Across the Universe book if there weren't some people lying. Amy and Elder 'kindle' their relationship and it's just...it's so awesome. I am so frantic.
This was so awesome and this has to go down as one of my favorite sci-fi futuristic trilogies.

i can understand why there are people that don't like this ending, but even if I'm left wondering what will happen to Amy and Elder in their new home, I'm satisfied with the book, the intrigue and the ending (although it felt rushed).
if razorbill hadn't changed the cover for this last book, this series would have had a prominent place in my bookshelf. I never warmed to Amy or Elder, but they were very good characters and i really enjoyed their love story. the explanations that were given at the end didn't entirely convince me, but they made sense for my not-scientific eyes and that's enough.
in the end, it is a good YA series and I've great expectations for whatever Beth Revis brings us next.
