I simply loved this book. It's hard to imagine a better adventure novel.

An experience of a book, it is truly one of a kind. This story will take you on a wide journey, and I hope future generations will continue to appreciate it. I'm going to need to buy my own copy, perhaps one of the guilded illustrated versions....

This was one of the weirdest books I’ve ever read. The best way to describe it is Rabbit Drama. But it was an interesting perspective.

This is a marvelous tale of adventure. I love when stories told with the most inhuman characters have the most human tales.

The author was clearly steeped in classical mythos- the scale, though it's about rabbits, is too grand to be considered anything but epic. There's an exodus, difficulties, arrival, a quest, heroes and monsters. The tales told of the people's hero are fantastic and woven in perfectly near the end. Mortality and duty and society are so succinctly gathered about that this story is nothing less that a consideration of people and our place in our world.

The setting is filled out and well described. Interactions between characters are pristine, each with purpose and direction. The world is filled with danger and beauty which the characters interact with with a strong, primitive philosophy.

Marvelous book, light and heavy at once, memorable and poignant. Strongly recommend to all readers of all ages. Will read again, will purchase a copy for my bookshelf.

It's not really a kids book, and it's not really a grown-up or YA book. It's hard to know what to make of it. Overall it was a pleasant read.
