I loved this book so much. I want to read it over and over. I also want to read the source material that Adams used. Rabbits are interesting and junk.
Took a bit to get the lapine lingo sorted out, but by the end I was very invested in what would happen to these little wabbits. Learned a lot and the hidden politics were eye opening.
I really loved this book! I’ve heard it referenced in way too many things, including Donnie Darko, to just ignore it any longer. And I’m so glad I decided to read it! The cute little rabbit culture has me hooked! I especially loved the folk stories told about El-ahrairah! That one at the end really brought it full circle for me. The story almost read like a grim-dark but I’m glad to have walked away from it so happy! Definitely worth a read

A fanastic book regardless of what age I read it at. Although I find myself raising my eyebrows at some of the more outdated elements of the novel, the book holds up pretty well.

This is a classic children's story for a reason. It has everything you could want. Adventure, suspense, danger, and more. It was a delight to read even as an adult.

This must be at least the third time I have read this book. I love it. My partner asked why I choose to read such a sad book, but it's not, it's the film that makes it seem much sadder than it is. It's a book full of live and adventure about rabbits. Amorphized a bit, but not too much.
Many reviews mentioned hidden meanings etc in the book, rather than it being a good story writen for entertainment. Maybe there are maybe there aren't. I am no good at seeing such things, and take stories much more at face value than looking for hidden meanings. I love the story, its well written and full of action, which keeps the pages turning from start to finish. The characters are well written and come across as being real, faults and all.
Without doubt if there is time enough, I'll read it again at some point.
