At first I thought this was gonna be a sad book about Alzheimers. It is anything but. I loved the way the story was told. Cleverly done and entertaining.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is a slice of life of parenthood, marriage, and sisterhood. It is about getting stuck in ruts and being thrown out of them. It looks at some "what ifs" but also acknowledges the beauty of holding on to what is. I highly recommend it! Content warning: in-depth descriptions of the pain and struggles of infertility.
Graphic: Infertility
Moriarty is a master of writing novels where you can't put them down because you're desperate to find the plot twist to which she keeps alluding! I enjoyed this book, and it really makes you think how much your life changes in 10 years time-- especially from age 29 to 39. She also perfectly captured the exhausting insanity of life with small children (sullen attitudes, one question after another, never a silent moment) and how that can drive a couple apart if they let it (feelings of unfairness, lack of sleep and communication, the need for meaningful adult interaction). I loved Big Little Lies and although this isn't as good as that novel, but it is still an enjoyable read.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun read. It should be noted that there is a lot of infertility discussion in this book, so if that's something you rather not read about I would suggest skipping this book.
