I really enjoyed that book and was hooked from the start. it's such a lovely story about life, love, family, forgiveness and healing.

This was an enjoyable read until the ending. What a lame ending.

Alice wakes up after a head injury on the floor of a gym and has no memory of the last 10 years of her life. She thinks she's 29, in love with her husband Nick, and pregnant with her first child, but suddenly she's almost 40, she's had 3 children and she doesn't remember any of it. The book begins with her on the floor of the gym and we learn as she does what has happened in the last 10 years. It's an engaging concept and I really enjoyed following along with Alice as we learn just how much she's changed and just how much her friends and family have changed.

This book also explores a lot of heavy themes: aging, infertility, divorce, parenthood, and work-life balance. Moriarty does this with expertise. I believe she's known for her domestic dramas. All of that was good. Well-written, interesting, and realistic. It all gets so messy as we know real-life does sometimes.

Just give me an ending that doesn't make me want to throw up with its cloying sweetness.

This one took me a while to read, and was a little slow in the beginning. I truly did enjoy it and had a good message in many different ways. Not my favorite by this author, but still a good read!

This book is entertaining and thought-provoking all at the same time. It made me reflect on what I was like 10 years ago, and what my life will be 10 years from now. Also, what would I do if I lost my memory and thought I was 10 years younger? We often look back at our younger selves with such nostalgia, and the older we get, we accumulate all these memories...some sweet, others sour. But they all make up who we are. I loved seeing three points of view on a situation too, although Elisabeth's got a little lengthy sometimes. Loved this book!!

I just could not get into this book. 30% into it and literally nothing has happened. I usually love Liane Morairty’s books but this one just isn’t doing anything for me.

LM is one of my go-to authors for plane/sick bed.

"Alice" has an interesting premise.

The audiobook's narrator was good -- I was able to distinguish Alice's thoughts from her spoken words. However, audio production was not as good -- I could tell when 2 takes had been spliced together b/c the volume changed, so I had to keep adjusting the volume on my smartphone.

The children seemed 2-3 years older than their stated ages, in behavior and vocabulary, and that bothered me.

Was lucky enough to read this at the beach. What an interesting look at how amnesia can make you forget the worst (and best) parts of your life. Emotional and heartfelt.
