The fluff of this story was top notch. It was so cute.
In a word where people are separated between carnivores and herbivores, there is a goat named Yagi who dreams of working in a bookstore. But as a goat, he loves to eat paper and is denied at every bookstore in the herbivore territory. So he travels to the carnivore side and is accepted at a bookstore owned by a wolf named Ookami.
Yagi still gets in trouble for eating the books, but he has a talent where he can taste the feelings within the paper he consumes. This helps him organize his section and Ookami sees the use in his skill!
Highly recommend!

I really like the premise and thought the romance was so cute but I think it would've been better if it had been more of a slow-burn romance. It would have worked better in my opinion, Still super cute though. If the Mangaka ever makes a sequel or another story with these two, I'm definitely buying.
Spoiler
Was I the only one that thought it was weird that Ookami was fully clothed during the sex scenes? especially on the last one after they confessed their feelings for one another? Like come on dude, how are you gonna have Yagi naked while you still have your jeans on? Kinda rude of you.
Thanks to NetGalley for providing me with the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
When I first saw this cover and read the description I was so excited to read it.
This concept of a goat who eats books but his dream is to work in a bookstore surrounded by carnivores was just so interesting to me.
The beginning is something I really enjoyed it started really strong and I expected to absolutely love this.
Unfortunately, that did not happen the more the story was progressing the more I found myself caring less.
I feel like something was missing. The pacing was very weird too, characters felt a bit bland and with no personalities just shells of people. Don't get me wrong I get that this is a graphic novel and it does not have to be deep but I just could not make myself care about the characters.
Another thing I'd like to mention is something that's completely my fault, but I expected a wholesome cute story which it was but I have not expected s*xual content. That took me off guard, again though this is my fault for not paying attention when requesting it.
On a positive note, the art is just incredible, the characters were just so beautiful and I am sad that I have not enjoyed it more.

What I thought was going to be a cute and cozy romance ended up being more spicy and explicit than I anticipated (of course then I saw the age guide on the back of the book). I liked the premise of Yagi working in the bookshop with this cool power, despite tearing apart the books. But I was not a big fan of the romance between Yagi and Ookami due to the apparent age gap between them and Ookami meeting him as a child. I also felt like the spicy scenes (two of them) were a random addition to the story that were a little out of place.
