Be still my cold dead heart this book was adorable! I mean the concept alone for this was adorable but the follow through was amazing as well. This was a relatively short manga but still I couldn't put it down it was so cute. I loves all the characters and their misadventures. I definitely think if cute slice of life style romance is your jam than please please check this out. You won't regret it.

Wow, this started off so cute that the smut surprised me LOL love the art and I'm also a sucker for books and bookstore settings, and tbh I just enjoyed the whole thing - the herb vs carn, Yagi's ability, and I really think he should have been fed some BL, HONESTLY, lolol. If anything, this time I was meh about the smut. I love that Yagi was the one pouncing and needy and the blushing faces and foreplay were where it's at! Would def read more (and someone tell that wolf to POUNCE)

Adorable artwork, but I was a little thrown by the explicit scenes and their censorship.

A light fantasy story with super touching characters. There's a very nice social add-on about classes, self-esteem, and the individuality theme that makes it more entertaining in addition to the comedy. I wasn't totally sold on the art at first, and I'd say it's more suitable for older teens than adults because there isn't really that much graphic content. However, it will be attractive to both audiences precisely because of this and because it's an story easy to appreciate.

Unlike my usual fare of bl manga, this one wasn’t dripping in angst and pining affection. It was unsurprisingly as adorable as the cover and name suggest. Yagi the Bookshop Goat had a cute story, cute art, and a cute concept. All combined, it was a sugar overload worthy of five stars!
Just for people unfamiliar with the various manga genres, Yagi the Bookshop Goat is a kemonomimi story. Meaning it features mostly humanoid characters that happen to have a few animal traits (ears, tails, some behaviours, etc.). In this world, Yagi is a goat who has a dream of working in a bookshop because of his love of literature. Unfortunately, as much as he loves books, he also happens to eat them. His stern wolf manager, Ookami, is left to contend with this and the many customers the adorable Yagi attracts. Overall the story was very sweet, and had me smiling the entire time I was reading it.
Now, I know you’re probably thinking that this sounds like a very lovely children’s story, because when I first requested it, I was unsure if it was for a younger demographic or if it contained sexual content. While I knew I could enjoy it either way, I want to be clear that this book is for adults.
I think the biggest selling point for me is the art in this. It is just so pretty that it makes me want to seek out more work from Fumi Furukawa just for their drawing style alone. Yagi the Bookshop Goat was also so different and sweet compared to my usual manga reads that it was an instant pick me up, and just put me in a better mood for the rest of the day.
After reading this I immediately messaged @genkireader to recommend it to her. So, if you like over the top sweet bl, I suggest picking this one up ASAP!

I have grow attached to this goat

Ah, what can I say with this fresh anamorphic world where there is the herbivore side and the carnivore side. But Yagi is on the carnivore side working in a bookshop. He loves books, and eats them too which makes it hard to keep books in stock cause he must take a chomp! His manager isn't liking that but keeps him around the cause of his unique ability.

The two, the manager and Yagi have their trials and such as Yagi working and eating merchandise, as well as developing feelings for his carnivore manager. There are some explicit scenes but just a few, leaving it for a mature audience. But I found it very cute original and just plain lovely. I found it great and the art and sequence are good. Definitely a keeper for my collection.
