If this book is in your TBR pile, you must listen to it on audio! It was so funny plus it has the best narrator aka Tina herself! I did seeing the pictures she talks about that are in the book so I think I'm going to check that out on Monday!

I learned a lot of Tina that I didn't know especially about her scar (scary story). Her background growing up to her time when she was on SNL was so fun to hear about.

I was kind of surprised of all the swearing in the story, I don't mind it but just surprised I guess.

I found it awful hard to get through this for reasons of my own and perhaps have nothing to do with the book.

I read it around 90% before giving up. I have no idea why I've had this on my tbr for reading the blurb now I realise there's nothing about it that interests me and I'm just not the target audience for it. I picked it up because it's tagged under humour and comedy but again, I'm beginning to realise American humour might not be my cup of tea. And finally, I chose to pair-read this with Mornings in Jenin which is at the polar opposite end and the subject matter of the latter made me wish to throw this one and its mediocrity somewhere far away.

I listened to this book on CD in the car and it made me laugh out loud so many times. This is a great book for riding around town. I loved the behind the scenes aspect of a woman in comedy. And her chapter on her dad, Don Fey, was brilliant. So much fun.

Tina Fey is amazing. I loved how honest she was in this book, how forthcoming she could be about her own bad behavior. I was also inspired by her feminist message, how she has such a hilarious way is dismantling the prejudices against women. This book was funny from start to finish, and there was so much in it with which I could relate--particularly the section about nursing. I hope many young women will follow Tina's example and work their way up in the comedy business. Tina proves that she's not a talented female comic, she's a talented comic, period.

pretty funny and very interesting. unfortunately I didn't get all the jokes nor did I like the amount of swearing (thus the rating) but still worth a read if that stuff doesn't bother you.

Pretty good memoir, though it veers a little more to the “let me tell you my thoughts about our modern situation generally” side of things than the “here are lots of specific stories about the parts of my life you’d find most interesting” side. That’s okay, but it feels like there are a few missed opportunities. Despite that, Ms. Fey writes with wit and a relatable voice that helps you realize that when it comes down to it, she’s just a normal person who has a different job than you do. Worth a read.
