I listened to the audiobook and while I LOVE when an author reads their own books, especially non-fiction, and you can hear exactly how they wanted it to be read, I did miss out on the pictures Tina included in the book that she references throughout. I’m not sure what I was expecting from this book but I found it to be just okay. There were funny parts like when she had a chapter solely dedicated to her responses to jerk people on random pictures or clips of her that will most likely never even read it since they clearly dislike her so much. But I wasn’t crazy about the “I’m really not that special, just a normal person, apologetic” type of narrative. I do appreciate her humor and just the way she narrates. It seems that she writes the way she speaks and I enjoyed that.

This book was tremendously funny, I could not stop listening. I love Tina's style of comedy and her sarcastic humor that is not too dry. So entertaining and made me laugh out loud many times. I loved the insight into her life and her career, especially what it is like to work for SNL and produce her own show. Recommend to everyone!

Great when it was great, but then at other times I just wasn't interested. I honestly like Amy Poehler's book better and found her narration to be better too. Its a 3.5 star read for me.

Fey is a funny woman and a capable writer and this memoir was truly enjoyable to read, especially since this audiobook is narrated by Fey herself. I'm a fan of her SNL years and of 30 Rock, and it was great to hear about that, but her childhood, adolescence, and motherhood chapters were just as interesting. She's self-deprecating, honest, and down-to-earth, and that's endearing. She also comes up with just about the best curses and metaphors I've heard, and her dirty wit made me LOL a lot. In fact, I was LOLing all over the place. It's a quick (the audiobook was only about six hours) and very entertaining read, so pick it up.

This book was not for me. I listened to the audiobook and got through it, but it was neither funny nor deep. I think it has aged poorly since 2011, with all the jokes and future predictions that are no longer relevant. I feel like I learned absolutely nothing from this book and just kinda dislike Tina Fey now…

She Doesn't give herself enough credit. I know she's being self deprecating, and that's supposed to be endearing, but it was a little too much. Other than that, it was a good read. I enjoyed it

Tina Fey is brilliant at what she does. She's very smart and very funny.

That being said, this book doesn't read like it was ever a major project for her. It's more like an afterthought. What's there is funny, hilariously so. But it's too brief, some subjects feel like they are skated over or completely skirted, and no, I'm not talking about her scar. She gave us a carefully edited slice of her life. She doesn't have to give us anything, but if you're going to write a biography, don't skimp on the details.

Since I've only listened to Tina reading the book, I'm going to encourage everyone to just listen to the audiobook. She's hilarious, it's hilarious and even includes the audio to her Palin SNL sketches.

This is an autobiographical book but really really really funny. Covering her childhood, touching briefly on the scar on her face, her time at Second City to SNL and 30 Rock.

Did I mention this is funny??

Read it. Or rather, listen to it.

I had high expectations for this book, but it was just kinda...meh.

The main issue is that the author tries too hard to make funny situations that are just...pedestrian. Unless you're a big Tina Fey fan, I would recommend skipping this book.
