This was a captivating story all the way through. It acted as a beautiful and painful exploration of mental illness. Internal realities can be nigh impossible to capture in words, and John Green (who himself lives with OCD) did a fantastic job of expressing that impossibility all the while expressing bits of that experience linguistically.
This was a slower story than some of his other books, and in some ways unassuming. An exploration of a quiet, profound life.
This book explores issues of power, wealth, self, mental illness, friendship/loyalty, and love, among others.
Overall quite an enjoyable read beginning to end.

this is by far my favourite book of John’s. it was so different from all his other works and thats why i liked it so much. i LOVED Aza so so so so so much. she was such a stellar mc. i also loved Daisy a lot. i loved seeing her side to this situation. this is an own voices novel for OCD; which i haven’t read a lot of (I’ve only read one other book that is own voices OCD) and i thoroughly enjoyed that aspect of it. its so raw and real and emotional. i don’t suffer from OCD so it was interesting to see the thought process of someone who does have it. of course everyone’s experiences are different but this one was very interesting. Overall i absolutely LOVED this novel. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. also CONGRATS TO YOU JOHN (if you are reading this, which i doubt) ON MAKING #1 ON THE NYT BEST SELLER LIST !!!!!!!

Rereading this book was so refreshing. I must say, that this book aptly depicts OCD and anxiety. The book is depressing and beautiful at the same time. It shows the essence of love, affection and friendship.
Daisy was selfish, until the 'accident' occurred. There wasn't much of Mychal's role in the book. Davis and Aza's chemistry was to the point. They prove that not every couple has to have a 'relationship' tag. Aza's mother and Dr. Karen Singh were the most supportive characters of the book. The plot was easy . It's deep, and will make you tumble into a spiral, just like Aza's
