Turtles All the Way Down by John Green

4.0

This was a captivating story all the way through. It acted as a beautiful and painful exploration of mental illness. Internal realities can be nigh impossible to capture in words, and John Green (who himself lives with OCD) did a fantastic job of expressing that impossibility all the while expressing bits of that experience linguistically.
This was a slower story than some of his other books, and in some ways unassuming. An exploration of a quiet, profound life.
This book explores issues of power, wealth, self, mental illness, friendship/loyalty, and love, among others.
Overall quite an enjoyable read beginning to end.
