This. Ending. Was so satisfying. I really enjoyed the story arch, the character development, the way we delved into the "villains" of this story in a new and different light. I adore this series, truly one of my favorites. I think the ending was satisfying (but not in a like a way things tie up with a boy way, but still satisfying). I think this world is so well-developed, the characters are so intricate and thought-out and realistic. I was gasping and excited and shocked at every turn of the page (so to speak, as I did listen to this on audiobook which was amazing, highly recommend). One of my favorite series of all time. While I read this I was texting my reactions to my best friend and she only got about 150 texts in the span of 3 days, I just couldn't.stop.talking about it! Honestly, if you haven't checked this series out, do it!

I read the girl of fire and thorns on a whim, it was a new book with a great cover that the library had gotten. When they get new books it is like Christmas, and I of course took home the book and fell in love. It started with a princess who was married off and through that became queen. I was hooked with her story and the way she grew and developed and became the queen she needed to be for her people.

The second book picked up right where the first left off and again I was hooked and in love. Each character we meet you just can't help but want to know more, and read more. The journey continues and Elisa grows and handles situations I don't know that I could ever handle. Each new thing she learns about herself and her life is even more intriguing than the last.

This book, the last in the trilogy, was wonderful I was also hooked right away as at the end of the last you are left thinking what??? So Elisa is in love and has to go on another journey this time to save the life of her lover. I enjoyed Hector in each of the last two books and with every thing Elisa has gone through I hoped so much for these two. This love story truly is a wonderful love story.

There is danger and action in ever page pretty much, and the way Rae Carson tells a story, it will be a book you read all night to finish! I loved learning more about then 'enemies' in the book and the practical even slightly magical way every thing seems to work out, I thought to my self, every person in a leader ship role should read this Trilogy! I have found an author that I will pick up any book she writes and read it even without reading the blurb! Loved it 5 stars and if the rating system were higher so would my rating be!

One of the best series endings I have read in pretty much ever, in what has become one of my favorite YA fantasy series.
Hector!

Solid End

Lots of travel and adventure. Got to truly understand a different culture and better understand the history of this world.

Elisa continues to grow and be more confident in her power and herself.

Storm is just one of the most interesting characters and has a great journey.

The end was very clean and buttoned up ver quickly. Would have like to have experienced what the empire is like with a ruler. See the annual queen meeting in a prologue.

I love how the love in this series is a cute one and it focuses more on the relationship rather than the other stuff. It was cute and the war theme really caught my interest. I love this trilogy a lot. It also doesn't help that you get to read all three of them in a week. READ THIS!!

Third (documented) reread:
Perhaps the most amazing thing about my love of this series is that, despite giving it a four star rating, I actually had a hard time getting into book one. I think this may be the only time where I've been this happy I continued on with a series after not being thrilled with the first book.

That said, Storm and Alodia still totally deserve a novella devoted to their relationship ;)

Second (documented) reread:
So the last two books in this series were some of my favorite books as a teen (hence this book's inclusion on my "favorites" shelf and the five-star rating). Rereading it now, I'm not sure it would be if I read it for the first time today. There are some elements that make me wonder at the criticism it would receive if published in today's climate.

That said, the nostalgia is real.
Spoiler Also, Storm and the main character's sister are one of the few couples I actually ship. And I don't know why because they hardly get any page time together . . .

[4.5 stars] Wow, just wow. There are honestly no words to explain how much I loved this trilogy. The world building, the prose, the character development... Everything was just so well-executed! It'll easily go down as one of my top 5 favorite series of all time. Now, for a bit of incomprehensible caps lock fangirling: ASDFGHECTORPHSKSBM;,@/

I'm very pleased with the way the trilogy has ended. So many unexpected turns and a brilliant outcome. I'm a little sad there isn't a whole other book.
