This was a really well done novella. Gailey created more empathetic, complex characters than many authors have accomplished with many more pages.

This book was fine. It didn’t blow me away. It was a little heavy handed or corny at times. Lots of queer and trans characters. A dystopian future that feels just like the Wild West.

It’s gay and it’s the wild wild west (is there really any other way to do the wild west?). Light on the worldbuilding and featuring a purposely ignorant (read: brainwashed) baby queer narrator, this book was a fun super easy read.
